This deck was built at floor-level on sturdy concrete footings and wood post-and-beam framing. Which means it feels like the deck is a natural extension off the room. The height and size is perfectly comfortable and clearly distinguish the deck from the green space below. The materials are mostly pressure treated lumber except for the high-end cumaru tropical wood deck and hand rail. The simplicity of the rest of the design allows the cumaru wood to really pop.
The owners were great to work with. They left us a tip and a nice review you can read here. We left them with a beautiful new deck and a simple block game as a gift.
